
Dato' Ahmad Bakri Shabdin - Chairman
Dato’ Bakri served the Government of Malaysia in various capacities from 1966 through 1999. The growth years of tourism after “Visit Malaysia Year 1990”, Dato’ Bakri served as Director General of the Malaysia tourism Promotion Board in which capacity, he held appointments in local and regional tourism organizations.
Dato’ Bakri has wide experience in training and development through serving the National Institute of Public Administration (INTAN) and the Asian and Pacific Development Centre (APDC).
He served as Deputy Secretary General in the Prime Minister’s Department and then as Secretary General and the first Sports Commissioner at the Ministry of Youth and Sports during the Commonwealth Games in 1998.
Dato’ Bakri has a Masters degree in marketing as well as a post-graduate diploma in public administration.

Mr. Anthony Wong - Group Managing Director
In 1990, Anthony Wong, the Group Managing Director, established the Destination Management and Conference & Exhibition Company, AOS Convention & Events Sdn.Bhd. (AOS), to meet the growth of the Destination Management and Conference & Exhibition market in Malaysia. To date AOS has successfully handled and managed groups from 20 to 6000 pax, and was awarded Tourism Malaysia's Gold for Best Incentive Program in 1994. To improve the standards of conference organization, Anthony attended the 20th International Association of Professional Conference Organizers (IAPCO) seminar in Zurich. This experience has helped to provide a more personalized, professional and value for money service to event hosts.
Anthony is also on the advisory boards of the Malaysia Tourism Promotion Board (MTPB) and Ministries of Agriculture, Youth & Sports, Education and Fisheries Development Authority. He is also the Chairman of the PATA Environment committee. His efforts to develop the tourism and convention industry have not gone unrecognized. He was an invited speaker on 2 PATA Adventure Marts - in Karachi, Pakistan and Balikpapan, Indonesia, the Australian Incentive Association conference as well as PATA European Chapters Meeting on Environment, Culture and Heritage Sustainable Tourism in Istanbul, Turkey.
In February 2007, Anthony was awarded "Industry Person of the Year" in the Asia Pacific region by Reed Travel Exhibitions in Melbourne, Australia during AIME 2007. This award is in recognition of Anthony's contribution towards the success of the meeting and incentives industry.
Locally he has spoken in a number of seminars and conference, such as the 1st and 2nd Asian Sport Tourism Conference in Kuala Lumpur, the Incentive Travel Seminar organize by Sabah Tourist Guides Association in Sabah, the Malaysian Incentive seminar organize by MTPB in Penang, Pahang Guide Association, MARA as speaker for their Tourist Guide Courses, Taylor's College School of Hotel Management Professional Activities for Diploma and Higher Diploma Students, ICCA Asia Pacific Educational Seminar on the meeting industry in Kuala Lumpur, Incentive Travel Conventions & Meetings Asia (IT&CMA) by SITE Malaysia Chapter and by the Global PCO.
Anthony is an International Congress and Convention Association (ICCA) member and Asia Pacific Chapter. AOS had successfully won a bid to host the World Association of Veteran Athletes (WAVA) year 2003 which attracted more than 12 thousand arrivals to the country and generating an estimated USD1.4 million from this event.

Amos Y. C. Wong - Managing Director
Amos retired in January 2004 as the Senior Commercial Adviser in the Royal Danish Embassy, Kuala Lumpur after serving them for 33 years.
Amos brings with him vast experience in organizing trade missions, seminars, workshops, exhibitions, market research, feasibility studies, investment promotion and business-to-business matching expertise.
Amos joined AOSCE in July 2006 to helm the FIGO team to take charge of the overall management of this major international congress and ensure its overall financial and implementation objectives are fulfilled beyond the stakeholders expectations.

Aldia - General Manager
Aldia has spent 15 years abroad, involved in various businesses in the United Kingdom and in Australia, where she gained valuable experience in the marketing and management international events, and fresh perspectives in the leisure and tourism sectors.
On her return to Malaysia in June 2005, Aldia was the Conference & Exhibition Manager, Asia Pacific Region for the Dallas-based Society of Petroleum Engineers (SPE), where she further honed her skills in this segment of the industry and re-established valuable business contacts in the region.
Her focus on research-based knowledge, together with an acute sense of business, has been the basis of many projects she has undertaken successfully for her clients. These include the Australian 4WD & Adventure Shows in Perth and Adelaide (2003 and 2004), IHF Meadowlea World Women's Hockey (2002), International Community Technology Conference (2001), QANTAS ITU World Triathlon Championships (2000) and many others.
She also held the position of Management Representative (MR) for the Integrated Management System of AV Solutions (M) Sdn Bhd comprising a quality component under ISO 9001 and a health and safety component under OHSAS 18001.

Mr. Selvadurai - Assistant General Manager
Selvadurai started his career with Standard Chartered Bank in 1980 as an Organisation & Methods Analyst and was part of a team which was responsible for setting standards, controls to minimize its operational risk, implementation of systems, productivity improvement initiatives, re-engineering, manpower requirement studies, etc. Reaching the post of Assistant Manager - Quality, Selvadurai decided a career change after 16 years with the bank.
Subsequent years saw Selvadurai holding various management positions in the IT industry and timber concession operation where his expertise in productivity improvement, quality and audit operations was fully utilized.
Selvadurai joined AOS Conventions & Events in May, 2006 and since then has been tasked with specific responsibilities in a number of international congresses.
